They’re not using the money to buy gas guzzlers. They only get the money if the car they pick out has a higher gas mileage than the car they’re trading in. It has to be like, 10 MPG more than their other car to get the $4500.

I’m not sure who wrote that article, but the purchase of a Ford F-150 doesn’t qualify for cash for clunkers….nor do most suv’s on the market. Only a couple crossover vehicles qualify.
